Pear Pie

I usually don’t use exact recipes.

Today I made Pear Crumble cause I wanted to see if it was that different from Apple Crumble.

Recipe:

2 Large Pears (The crunchy round kind)

Butter

Flour

Cinammon powder

Brown Sugar

Crumble:

Sift the Flour, Cinammon Powder and Brown sugar together.

Add Butter.

Knead with fingers/fork until crumbly.

Pear Filling:

Peel, wash and slice the pears.

Add Cinammon and Brown Sugar.

Bake.

Usually, the filling goes on the bottom and the crumble on top. But this time, I packed a layer of crumble on the bottom and I layered filling and crumble alternately over it, finishing with more crumble.

Then I baked it. 20 mins, 150C.

Results?

Not as tangy as Apple Crumble because pears aren’t naturally tangy or sweet, just juicy. Can be used as a less sweet alternative to apples.
