Natsume YuuJinChou

I blame Azhrien for this.

;.;

I started with Natsume Yuujinchou against my better judgement. For those not in the know, it's a manga about a teenaged boy who can see ayakashi or spirits. When he moves back into where his grandmother used to live, he's accosted by several spirits, looking for the Book of Friends. He discovers that it was a book made by his grandmother who could also see spirits. It basically bound the spirit whose name was written down to the owner of the book so that they would have to obey him or her.

At first glance, this seems like an ordinary supernatural manga but then... you get the yaoi undertones. Especially with Madara.

Madara is an evil spirit. A youkai if you please. He could just eat Natsume and be done with it but then he decides to stick around and wait till Natsume dies. :| Then he goes on to save Natsume repeatedly while wishing the brat would die anyway.

Then recently in a filler ep of the animated series. A God turned almost evil spirit possesses a snow bunny by mistake. He takes on the human appearance of a young man, with bunny ears. Angst ensues when he recalls his past lover and Natsume comforts him with an (I quote) "You may not like me but I like you. You cleaned my garden." which was totally lolworthy. And Gen the God turned almost evil spirit cries in Natsume's lap.

...

I should really stop watching it but I can't stop myself
