As a girl, my ‘market price’ drops after some time. My biological clock is ticking down like the seconds of a bomb.
My family is not helping, putting a lot of pressure on me to get a boyfriend. Normally I wouldn’t mind but the list of criteria is a little stupid.
Okay, let’s take a look at my list:
- Christian (Or at least, not going to try to convert me)
- Chemistry (We gotta click, ya know)
- Altruistic (I like kind people. A lot.)
- Intelligent (Cause technical talk always turns me on)
Now, let’s take a look at my family’s list:
- Christian
- Non-smoker
- Intelligent
- Earn moderate to high pay
- Not black
- Not dark skinned
- Not from the middle east
- Chinese or can understand Chinese
- Can speak Hokkien
- Can speak English
- From Kuching
- Not ‘Soft’
Can someone please, please, please point me in the direction of such a guy?
I know a lot of great guys. They’re either taken, gay, or don’t fulfil my family’s wishes. (I’m Asian. It matters. A lot.)
I mean seriously. Coursemates? Either taken, or not altruistic enough for me.Uni-mates? Mostly not Christian. Christian friends? No chemistry. I have the kind of awkward silence that you get with acquaintances. I couldn’t really get into a relationship with someone I didn’t like straight off the bat.
WTF can all the eligible boys please holler? Please? Please?
