Perfectly squared

Square the newsletter. Founded in 1955.

It's good really. It's actually something I'm proud to be part of. Then there's the but. There's always a but. It's BUT... the reporters and team members.

I've spotted a huge problem with the Newsletter team: We're not organized. Sure we do have reporters, photographers and graphic designers but that's not what's important right now. We failed to take into consideration that these people may not have experience at all. They may actually be totally rubbish at computers and writing reports. (I don't claim to be much better)

The fact is that the reporters, writers, and photographers have no idea what they are doing. They have no clue as to what to do. Absolutely nothing. The reporters don't know what to write about, the photographers don't know which pictures to take, the graphic designers don't know how to use the software. This results in a very messy compilation of reports and pictures which by the way, never made it past the editor's eyes. Hmm, I wonder why...

If I had to point the finger, I'd have to point it at myself first for not forcing the rest of the team to do what I wanted them to do. I can safely say that it's my fault for not explicitly telling the reporters and photographers what to do. Of course, I'm going to change that in the next newsletter when Florence and the rest of the team hand it over to the new people.

I hope that for the upcoming newsletter we can implement the following:

Each and every report must be at least 800 word excluding title or two and a half pages long, which ever comes first. The Content of the Report must include:
Title
Date, Day, Time
Organizers
Participants
Important happenings (Who did what, how, where, when and what was the outcome of it being done)
Explanations of whatever went down
Written by:

For the photographers, these are the people and events in order of priority
VIP e.g. Deputy Prime Minister
The Principal
Organizing chairperson/group
Handing over of prizes/checks/souvenirs
Main participants (Winners/group leaders/large contributors)
Other participants
Venue

Do's:
Write in simple and concise English
Write in Chronological order

Don't:
Attempt Creative writing

All reports and photos must be sent in within five days of the event happening. One hard copy of the report must be sent to the editors and the teachers for correction and editing. The soft copy of the pictures and the report must be labeled properly and handed to the graphic designers or the editors who will then put it into the computer or the Master Thumbdrive. We don't want random thumbdrives popping up and not knowing which report is in which flashstick.

Moving onto some good news.

St Mary Primary is now a Cluster School. My mom is ecstatic.

I received my HeiseJinYao ART BOOKS
OMGLOL
I now have incriminating evidence in my wallet courtesy of the woman herself who sent me a collectible roflmao of uh... her novel.

And I'll prolly miss next week's Bio work cause I'll be helping the choir again.

Haha...you're so bad. Always taking in the blame...wait...that's suppose to be my personality. Never mind. You know, I wasn't organized as well. I had no specific duty. The teacher just asked me to do this and help with this. I did the reporting and the editing and next year, I will be doing the editing. >.< It's alright I guess. it's not hard using the software. At least, I think I am a good as you using it. I read up on Adobe already.
