One:

I'm sick. It's the kind of I-feel-like-crap sick. The sick that puts your mind out of commission but not the rest of you so you're running on autopilot. The sick where your body still functions well without your brain that kind of sick. So you don't appear sick but you are anyway and as a result, you still have to go to school.

Two:

My friend is sick. Sick in the hospital going to have his leg sliced open and there's nothing I can do about it except trade stupid sms'es with him and hope he feels better.
