Starfighter 31X02

Page 30 ended with a nervous look from Deimos (dear Myshonok) and an ominous feeling.

This page starts off with Cain taking a drag from his cigarette. He removes it from his lips and teases Deimos about his voluntary muteness.

Cain, being the jerk arse he is, moves closer and invites Deimos to tell him what he knows in a rather insulting/ condescending/ naughty manner. Cain moves closer. Deimos blushes.

In a split second, Deimos sheds his mouse demeanor in front of Cain and grabs our favourite jerk, exhibiting a great deal of badass and daring in the process! 

Our favourite jerk protests of course. Deimos wraps one leg around Cain's thigh and snuggles into this shoulder, taking a deep breath. (This hints at Deimos being the 'old girlfriend') He lifts his head and whispers into Cain's ear:

"The one he saved, Praxis.."

(omg a name at last)

Cain's expression is that of horror when he hears the next words Myshonok says:

"I saw them speaking..

Together.."

Personally speaking, this page only cements my belief that Deimos was one of Cain's conquests. He obviously hold some degree (understatement) of affection for Cain. Lets look at the evidence:

He knows who is in the Fight room before he enters. He enters without caring for himself. He gives Cain a longing look. He blushes. He takes Cain's invitation to whisper what he knows in his ear. He talks to Cain. He actually speaks to Cain. From the amount of badass he showed before, I doubt he really has to say much to get his way so when he speaks, it's what I would call "Da Jian Shi", meaning a big matter.

What's more, Cain allows Deimos to touch him in such close proximity without any serious repercussions.

The panel where he inhales Cain's scent. 

That was the panel that hit me the hardest. I'm not sure why but the moment I saw that panel, I knew that  if Cain ends up with Abel, Deimos wouldn't really object not because he doesn't like Cain but he knows that nothing will change Cain's mind, including himself.

And that's the saddest thing I've said today.
