The new page is up and boy do we have some interesting developments.
In the previous page, Deimos made a move on Cain, using the information he had as a ploy to get closer. He told Cain that he saw Abel speaking with Praxis, the one-eyed survivor of The Tiberius.
Cain pulls away from Deimos in the first panel. Deimos' nervous look is still in full force.
With a simple kick and shove, Cain has put Deimos on the floor, reaffirming that he's the top dog and all-around badass. He looks down at his mouse and sneers the only sentence on this page: Huh! Getting a bit brazen, aren't you?
Deimos can only look up at him helplessly.
Cain steps over Deimos. The felled Fighter covers his head in a flinch, visibly terrified, only to be surprised when Cain moves away. Obviously, Deimos isn't used to this 'gentle' treatment, probably expecting to get his arse kicked. Of course with Cain being a general jerk and sadistic bastard, I expect that he'll double back and kick Deimos while he's down. If he doesn't, it only cements my belief that he sorta likes Deimos.
I officially ship Cain/Deimos more than Cain/Abel. I think that it's obvious from the way Deimos interacts with Cain that he's willing to do just about anything for Cain in order to win approval or some degree of affection.
Angst heavy material I know but I can't help it.
